Contra Costa Water District
Brentwood, CA
Project Goal: Provide a consistent source of water to a high, remote ridge that historically did not have water. Water is pumped into a 10,000-gallon tank and then gravity-fed into two troughs. Overflow for this system is piped into a drainage, feeding several existing ponds.

Project Goal: Improve livestock distribution for better range management while adding remote fire draft hydrants.

Project Goal: The goal for this project was to secure a reliable water source and establish water sources in several different fields. Freitas Rangeland Improvements designed & installed the solar water pump system and the client installed the pipeline, water storage tanks and livestock watering troughs.

California Department of Fish & Game
Gray Lodge Wildlife Area, Gridley, CA
Project Goal: This project was a combined effort between Ducks Unlimited, the California Deptartment of Fish & Game, and the grazing tenant to establish livestock water sources away from newly constructed wetland habitat(s). With additional sources of water installed away from the ponds, impact to the banks from livestock was reduced.

City of Pleasanton
Callippe Preserve Golf Course, Pleasanton, CA
Project Goal: Improve livestock distribution to create better forage utilization over the entire Callippe Silverspot Butterfly mitigation lands surrounding the golf course. Properly managed grazing is necessary to promote success of the Viola flower, a host for the Callippe Silverspot Butterfly.
